It was an honour to be part of the 40th SOH Anniversary Concert yesterday. What an exceptional line-up of artists, including Deborah Mailman, Baz Luhrmann, Sarah Blasko, John Butler, Megan Washington, Paul Grabowsky and members of the Wharf Revue. The Concert closed with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra performing the work that opened the Opera House in October 1973, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, featuring soloists from Opera Australia and the vocal heft of the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs. Actor Deborah Mailman was master of ceremonies at the twilight concert. Special guest Princess Mary and Prince Frederik.
